Spring Is In The Air

It's Friday night and that means hockey!  I started this card earlier this afternoon & it just wasn't coming together so I set it aside to finish during the game.  We're ahead and my card is finished.  Woohoo!  I'm not quite sure how I feel about the bottom of the Soft Sky panel, it seems empty.  I thought about another Rose Red Scallop Trim Border but that was too much Rose Red for me.  Stay tuned to see if I change it later!  haha

Lone Star Brahmas

With the Brahmas’ win over Wichita Falls and the Topeka loss to Wenatchee, Lone Star is in a position to clinch the NAHL South Division Crown with a win or overtime loss on Saturday night regardless of what Topeka does in their final two games against Wenatchee. A Lone Star loss in regulation would leave the door open for Topeka if the Roadrunners were to run the table against the Wild to finish in a tie with the Brahmas. Topeka would hold the first tie breaker with 40 wins compared to the Brahmas 39 and steal the division title.

Go Brahmas!

An Invitation Just For You

What a cool way to invite a friend out for lunch!   My project today is from this month's Paper Pumpkin, a Stampin' Up! subscription kit.

A bright pumpkin box is delivered to my door every month and inside are fabulous items to easily make a project(s) with instructions and a video on-line for me to watch.   The "you" was created by threading yarn thru the already punched holes.  I love the way it looks on my invitation!  The kit had everything I needed except for scissors.   Woohoo!

I just got home after having lunch with my friend Monique.  She is in Topeka working for a few weeks so we had lunch at Pepe and Chela's.  It was so good to spend an hour with her to catch up and have a few laughs.  Thanks Monique.

Later today, my friend Janet is coming into town and will be coming over for coffee!  In the meantime I need to get some work done.  haha

I hope each of you has a blessed day.

Supplies On My Desk

Hi everyone.  I hope you are having a wonderful day.   For me, no place to be today.  Yeah!  So I am home creating & cleaning.  Yes, I do mean cleaning house and even that is a good thing.

Over this past weekend I wanted to scrapbook, but the photo I chose I couldn't find any decorative paper in my stash to compliment it.  But, I had this bow and piece of ribbon on my desk that I had been looking at for week or more.  Grabbed some pretty paper, placed the bow where I wanted it to go, stamped my images, die cut it with my Big Shot and popped it up off the card with Dimensionals.  I love how it turned out!  Hope you do, too.

It has been a busy week.  Yesterday I had 2 appointments, grabbed a bite to eat, did some light shopping at Michael's and then I was off to the grocery store.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

You Win Some . . .

I recently saw a card by Elizabeth Price and really liked how she used water coloring on the Ampersand TIEF.   Typically in paper crafting you see "you and I" with the ampersand but I wanted to do something different and the first thing that popped into my mind was you win some, you lose some.  I used my computer and printed the phrase on Vellum Cardstock.

Hope I don't have to use it.  My nephew's hockey team won both games over the weekend and they are in 2nd place in the league behind Janesville.   That's huge!  There are so many players who don't get to achieve that.

My Little Basket

My cute little box is missing something?  It's chocolate!  Easter Bunny will you swing by here on Easter and leave me some much needed chocolate, please.  It's how young you feel not how old you are in number of years, right?

Hi everyone.  Hope you are enjoying warm weather and having a terrific weekend!

Hockey update -  we won last night and now up 2 points from Topeka.  Church at 5pm and hockey at 735pm, a fun night ahead.

Back to my little box.  I have been cleaning my work room and found quite a few little die-cut boxes from Stampin' Up!  During a recent hockey game, they are typically 3 hours in length, I put them all together and now they are ready to be decorated.

You Brighten My Day

Hi everyone.  I should be working on my project for Friday's stamp meeting, instead I am playing.  I wanted a quick card - a sketch from MOJO Monday, a Stampin' Up! color challenge found on Pinterest and I am halfway done!  Here's my result.

A pretty card finished and posted, dishes are done, laundry is done.  Hmmm - there must be something that needs done?  Off to find something.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Friend

Hi everyone.  Spring is finally here!  Yay!

Just a little hockey talk.  My nephew's team is now in 1st place in our division with only 7  games left to play in regular season.  So proud of him and I am so enjoying watching him play.

My share today was inspired by a card from Nichole Heady.  It is such a happy card and it makes me want to go shopping for a new Easter outfit and bring out my white shoes!  Happy Spring y'all.

The photo frame was created by using my paper trimmer.

Happy Birthday

I can't remember the last time I did a one-layer card, but here's one now!  I hope you like it.  The Pistachio Pudding Balloon was stamped on another piece of Whisper White Cardstock and then die cut using the Balloon Framelits Dies and adhered using Dimensionals.  The Hello Honey balloon was stamped off first then applied to the card.

Have a blessed week and thank you so much for your interest in my artwork.

Thanks

Can you see the subtle shading on the stamped image?  You can achieve it with our new Blendabilities.  The color is Pink Pirouette.  You get a set of 3 markers, one dark, one medium and one light.  Shading has always been intimidating to me, but it is not as hard I was making it out to be.

I hope you like it.

It is Friday night and that means hockey!  We're winning right now so hopefully it will end that way!  Have a great weekend everyone.  Thanks so much for stopping by.
