Thankful

I'm so thankful for my wonderful friends! They have been so understanding and patient with me while I have been dealing with depession these past few years. I can't thank them enough. I sometimes wonder what they see in me, though I know that is my depression talking. I hope that if you know somone who is struggling that you are able to be caring and supportive. Many of you probably know how hurtful family and friends can be and how many years it can take to get past the pain.

Kathy made this for me to celebrate my birthday (in June), but it is just as important now as it would have been then. Thanks Kathy.

Trust In The Lord

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. About an hour ago I decided to make a card for tonight's post. I wanted to use a leaf theme and I had several leaves already cut using the new Stampin Up Leaves #2 Die. The scanner didn't pick up the colors very well, if we have any sunshine tomorrow, I'll try to get a better pic.

Crushed Curry

Speaking of curry, what is your favorite recipe with this "secret ingredient?" Yes, I have been watching Iron Chef America. Still, I'd love to see your recipes. Just click on "comment" on the bottome of this post.

Friend

Aren't these colors just yummy! They remind me of linens my sister brought back from India for me for Christmas last year. As soon as I can find the right batteries for my recharger, I will get a picture of it posted here for you. The colors are so vivid & are so similar to Stampin Up's 6 new colors for this year.

Creepy Crawly, Oh My Golly

I wanted a quick card for tonight and I wanted to use this stamp set, so headed to SCS & found this card. I changed a couple of things so as to use what supplies I had on hand.

This month I celebrated my 5 years as a Stampin Up Demonstrator & one of the most fun things about stampin for so long is the supplies you have built up. When you find a design you like, you can pretty much recreate it right then and there - not have to go shopping all over town to find them!

Something else I would like to say tonight is that there are many kinds of stampers/scrapbookers. Those who design their own, and those who are creative copiers, and let me tell you that both are hugely successful! In Stampin Up we believe in CASE - Copy And Share Everything. Be proud of your copied designs, give the original designer all the credit that is due her/him.

Each of us have special gifts that God has given us, so show your copied designs off to the world!

Spooky

In the cool of the evening
When everything is getting kind of groovy
You call me up and ask me
Would I like to go with you and see a movie?
First I say no, I've got some plans for tonight.
And then I stop and say all reight.
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy like you.

One of my favorite songs, by Dusty Springfield.

Thank You Blair

I want to say a special thank you to my neice, Blair, for stopping by the other night. We reconnected recently via Facebook & texted each other Monday night. What a treat that was as we hadn't talked in such a long time. School was starting back up the next day - her first day as a Senior in High School. I hope this year is a fabulous one for her, I know mine was.

Simply Beautiful

I saw this card on another blog & simply had to CASE (copy & share everything) it. When I find her name, I'll post it back here.

CS - Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Punch - 5 Petal Flower

Halloween is a Hoot

This is a MOJO Monday sketch - number 102. I sort of used this week's technique challenge at Splitcoaststampers, also. The number is TLC235. I did not do it exactly because I didn't reread the instructions. Something I do frequently, unfortunately. I used Magic Mesh & laid it on the Orange cs, then using a sponge paint brush and some yellow acrylic paint, brushed over the the mesh.

CS - Basic Black, Only Orange, Green Galore, Whisper White
Stamps - Halloween is a Hoot
Ink - Basic Black
Markers - YoYo Yellow, Green Galore, Ruby Red, Soft Suede
