Saturday at Church was another enlightening experience for me & would like to share. The theme was The Armor of God - Divine Protection. be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For your struggle is not against flesh and blood . . ."
We know that evil exists all around us in this world, but we forget that it is also in us. The threat is not just physical, it is also spiritual.
God sent his Son into our dangerous & broken world to protect & care for us, and to show us the way. He sent his Son to redeem us. Why did God do this? Simply because he loves us.
We can find strength in him. God's power makes a way for us to contend against the evil around us, and the evil within us. God's power in Christ brings us inner peace - no matter the struggle around us.
Evil is real but it will never win in the end. God will. His love will endure forever!
Blessings to each of you,
Deloris

Time Passes Friendship Stays Right Where It Belongs
I needed a quick card for tonight. One of the advantages of being a Stampin Up Demonstrator is that every day they share about 7 new cards with us that have been sent in by Demos. This is one of them. The colors she used were Real Red & Yo Yo Yellow. I chose Bordering Blue & Pretty in Pink. You know, I have never used this color combo before and, I really like it. In fact, I rarely use Bordering Blue. It has a lot of gray in it so I frequently use the Marker. For accessories, I used Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon and the Ribbon Slider from the Hodgepodge Hardware.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I love sharing my creativeness! Feel free to leave a comment or share your website with us.

My SWAP
Happy Birthday to you! As you might have guessed, our swaps this month was based on Birthdays. Fun & Fast Notes had a birthday cake with candles, and I hadn't used this set in a long time. You might think about this set, as it is so versatile & comes with greetings.
When you mount stamps like these, you can also cut off the verse & mount it on another piece of wood, if you have access to these. This would be a great time saver for you. If you have how-to questions regarding this or any other stamping/scrapping project, just let me know. I am glad to help.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!

A Prayer For Me This Week
I would like to share a prayer with you. Brad, a Deacon of my church, included it in his message last weekend & I wanted to work on it, so I asked if he would e-mail it to me. I'm grateful that he took the time to do so. Forgiveness is such a difficult thing to do, especially if that person has hurt you deeply.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that you give me the grace to forgive others just as you forgave me so that I can stay in a close loving relationship with you and the people around me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessings to all of you.

Arla's SWAP
Wow! I love how the Crushed Curry really pops on the Soft Suede! Arla used the Great Friend Stamp set & the new Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon. She also used the fabulous Sizzix Movers & Shakers Die to punch the Curvy Label in the center of the card. This cool tool will even score your card for you! I'm in love. (sigh)

Medallion
This is Lisa's swap. Isn't it pretty? I love the new Soft Suede color with Cameo Coral. She used one of the white silk flowers in the Pretties Kit & & colored it with Soft Suede Re-Inker.

Happy Birthday
I want to show you our swaps for this month, the theme was Happy Birthday. Don't you just adore these colors? You'll love the ease of this card, lots of punches were used.
If Nothing Ever Changed, Then There Would Be No Butterflies - Unknown
Isn't this card just gorgeous? Lisa provided the supplies for all of us to make it. It was such a fun evening. A few of us were able to be there early so we had a taco salad supper & rainbow sherbet for dessert. We got all of our heartbreak out in the open, shed some tears, passed around hugs & then had a blast stamping. There were great swaps & many of us brought projects that we had been working on at home to show off. We played with the new Movers & Shakers Die. Wow, that one is amazing & will do so much for you. Several brought cardstock/DSP to cut from the cool tools that were available that night. We also decorated flip flops. How fun is that! Will try to get pics for you on that one!
I love that you stopped by! Hope to see you again.

Daily Reflection
I have not been following thru on my daily reflections, today was especially notable so here goes.
Pastor had taken the day off, so one of Deacons gave the message. Though disappointed, I wanted to get something out of it, so I said a prayer asking for patience & to hear whatever the message was. I am happy to say that God answered my prayer. It was a good service.
The message: Love is forgiving. Forgiving is love. When someone, especially those close to me, says something that really hurts, that hurt can last a very long time and forgiveness seems impossible. I am more aware now than ever before of "be careful what you say, as you can't take it back." And, when we are tired, frustrated, stressed, or are hurting it is much easier to say things that we should wait till a better time & say the words with love instead of with all the other feelings.
I pray that we all can learn this.
Blessings,
Deloris

Good Friends
Yesterday, I received some bad news. Today, my friend Joyce called several times but I had left my cell phone in the car so didn't hear it. On the way to church, I found her message & called her back. She, & her Mom, invited me out to dinner & stamp afterwards. Normally, I would have declined, stayed home & entered back into my depression, but I said yes. I'm glad I did. We went to Red Robin, one of my favorite places to eat. Service wasn't so good, waiter having a bad night too, I guess. Joyce loves Asian artwork and has some beautiful stamps, so I really enjoyed playing with them tonight. I will show you those in the next couple of days.
The excitement of the night came as I was getting ready to go home. We were headed outdoors, Joyce was a couple of steps ahead of me. She had only taken a couple of steps when she uttered something & began to lose her balance at the same time. It was then that I noticed a snake about 3-1/2' long in her pathway! I thought I liked snakes, but I hid out in the house while her & Sue looked around for him. Finally, I decided I should be helping & stepped outdoors with them. Unfortunately, we didn't find him.
I just got a call from Joyce to tell me that Sue had taken one of the puppies out to potty & there he was - sprawled out on the concrete! She yelled at Joyce, "he's back!" Joyce hurried outside, but he had slithered away. He thought he was hid, but yes, you guessed it, he was located & then relocated!!! And they lived happily ever after. The end.
I love my life! Thanks for tonight's entertainment guys!!

I have been a bad girl this week, no postings since Monday. So sorry, I have been super busy. I invited my friend Joyce & her family over for a supper of italian meatloaf, garlic bread & green beans. Joyce & I decided to make a card on the spur of the moment while the others watched Dateline.
