I just added a new "button" to my blog. Look to the left and you will see "Stampin' Up! Color Combo Machine." Click on it and you will be taken to one of my favorite tools. With this tool, you can search for SU's color combos. On the left of this site, you will see every color SU has. You can click on one or more of these colors, it will place them at the top, you can then click "search" and it will bring you back with multiple color combos. Or, if you don't have a color in mind to start with, click on "surprise me."
Don't forget, SU's colors are available in inks, cardstock, markers, and embellishments.
Give it a try. Let me know what you think. Any questions about it? I'm happy help.

What I've Been Doing
I've been working on projects for an Open House that I plan to have towards the end of July. More coming on that.
Mark your calendars for July 1, that's when you will finally get to see the new catalog. You can view it at http://www.awakenyourcreativity.stampinup.net/. My store is open 24/7.
I love the new "In Colors." They are Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango & Bermuda Bay. Each year Stampin Up brings out 6 new colors, that are only around for 1 year. They are just yummy this year. For the first time 8-1/2 x 11 cs is available in textured! Also for the first time, we will have Stampin Write Markers in those colors!
I'll also be posting my class schedule. I haven't decided if it will be before or after the Open House, though.
Have a happy Sunday & I'll see you back here later.

June SWAP - Monique Open & Closed
Monique just recently joined our group. Isn't this a fabulous card? Love the folds. The first picture is the card unfolded and in the second one, it is closed up. Well, just one more 4th of July card to show you. Have you been inspired to create yet? Hope so. Love having you drop by.

Iranian Citizens
I would like to say a small prayer for the people of Iran. May God watch over them and keep them safe. May they find what they are looking for. May we all learn to treat each other with respect. May we all learn how distasteful greed can be. Amen.
Washington DC
Sometime in the 1980's I took a 2 week vacation & I spent 1 week of it in Washington DC. I stayed with friends nearby who would drop me off at the train on their way to work & pick me up after they got off work. I spent 5 days touring the city and still did not see half of what I wanted to see.
The city is full of monuments, as you probably know, and I did not think they would hold an attraction for me, but I was so wrong. The Jefferson Monument was gorgeous. The Wall was heartbreaking. The Kennedy Center was beautiful. The pizza was the best I have ever eaten!
At night, the monuments were breathtaking!

Beginnings
Tonight I celebrated my birthday with my new family. My church family. Our Christ Care group met tonight and I would like to share some of it with you. At the beginning of our meeting, Carolyn lit a candle in the middle of the room while several others closed the blinds and turned out the lights. The flame of the candle to represent God's Light, the illumination from the candle to represent lighting our way to God. At the end of the meeting, we were each given a candle that we lit from it. For some reason, it was such an inspirational symbol. One of my goals this Summer is to learn meditation. I think I will now always have a candle lit during my meditating.
Blessings to each of you.

Hopefully, they will be able to figure it out. This layout is similar to another one I used this week, the photos didn't fit, so I changed it up a bit.

Happy Graduation
I've had these pages designer for some time, and just recently added these photos. The photos were taken at my sister's college commencement. That's my Mom with Denise. I actually added some stamping to this layout. If you look closely at the page on the right, you'll see that the paisley's were stamped and then I add some Crystal Effects on the dots for dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

An Old Fashioned Girl
These are pics of my neice when she was younger. They are so pretty. They remind of a time long ago. I have not been able to find a decorative paper that I liked with the photos. But recently, while stamping with Lisa, we used the Parision Breeze DSP to make a box for her Mom's birthday. I thought it might work & it did. I love how these pages turned out. I now need a title. That will probably take awhile. Feel free to submit one.

Good Morning Sunshine
This was a sketch challenge over at splitcoaststampers.com. They have them every Friday. I believe the paper is from Crate Paper. The alpha stickers are from Basic Gray. They were a little too light so using a Stampin Up sponge dauber and Apricot Appeal ink, I darkened them up a bit.

MIA Big Time, Huh?
I didn't drop off the face of the earth, however, I have been having multiple internet & phone issues. I have been tossed around between providers like a hot potatoe!!! One day I logged 7 hours on an on-line chat with one of them. I spent every day last week dealing with these people at least 1 hour a day. I didn't even want to look at this computer, let alone type. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I appreciate you stopping by. In the meantime, I have accrued several e-mail addresses. The good news? I think I am making progress. Yippee!
I have many scrapbook pages ready to show you, swaps for this month - 4th of July theme. Fabulous cards. So, I hope you come back.

Zadie Meets Dora
Dora is huge! I might have been a little scared, too. The colors were a perfect match for the Petal Party Simply Scrappin Kit. I also used the new Jumbo Alphabet stamps that will be available in the new catalog.

I love parties, especially theme parties. Contact me today to schedule one for you and your friends. Listed below are a few ideas.
1) Pool party! The kids can swim while the moms gather for the party. Hire a local teen to supervise. OR if you don't have a pool, you can fill a blow-up pool with water (and perhaps wine coolers?) and have a Ladies only gathering. Everyone can sit outside and dangle their feet in the water while I introduce to you to stampin or scrappin.
2) Margarita party! Says it all…frozen margaritas and a Ladies night out…could anything be more fun than that?
3) Ice Cream Sundae party! Ask all your guests to bring one ingredient to make a great ice cream sundae. You will provide the ice cream but what’s a Sundae without the whipped cream? When your guest has an important ingredient to bring, she’s sure to come.
4) Taco party! Same idea as an Ice Cream Sundae party but you provide the taco meat and guests bring the rest.
5) Pizza party! You provide the pizza dough and sauce…guests bring along their favorite topping
6) Appetizer party – Pot luck appetizers brought by your guests along with copies of her recipe to share with all the other guests
7) Party at my place - Have the party here. No mess. No fuss.
Have an idea that's not listed above? I'm all ears!
