Donation For The Cause

Another finished project!  Woo hoo.  This is a little box I made to hold 4 3x3 cards and envelopes for my donation to Pink Sunday.  Here I am showing the box closed, then open to see what's inside, and finally the cards and matching envelope, both the front and back.

I'm Praying For You

This may be my last 3x3 card set for Pink Sunday, which is this weekend from 12 to 5pm.  I have so enjoyed making them! 

Yesterday was a very unproductive day, but I'm ready to go today, wish I didn't have an appointment at 2 and need to stop at the store before coming home.  

Oh well.  

 

Altered Binder Clips

I have been so busy making items for Pink Sunday, but lately I have not been able to finish them so that I could share with you.  So today, we are in completion mode!  

These cute little clips are perfect for showing off a favorite photo on your desk or at home or an honored recipe displayed on your kitchen counter!

I designed them with DSP Welcome Neighbor & then went rummaging thru my accessories to dress 'em up.  I thought the flip flops were perfect!  

A Sweet Slice Of Life

Today I needed to remember that life does have a sweet and wonderful side to it.  Hence today's project.  

Beautiful fresh flowers, shopping for baby clothes, sour cream chocolate cake & beverages made with chocolate!  

May each family member and friend suffering from a serious health issue be reminded of the beauty God has given us and let that be a constant reminder that He loves us so much he weeps in pain when we are suffering. Breathe a little easier that He is taking care of you and when the time is right, you will join Him 

in Heaven, a place so beautiful we cannot fathom.

Colors in this project are Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip & Pumpkin Pie.  I used Sweet Always DSP.  I used watercoloring for the stamped images on watercolor paper.

This Although the cards are alike, I chose a different sentiment for each; thank you, thinking of you and get well wishes.

I have so many ideas to use on a 3x3 card, they're almost endless.  Careful. They are addictive.

Chari, Jody Do You Want To Ride Bikes

These bicycles are so pretty, they remind me of times when Chari, Jody & myself would go bike riding around town. 

This makes my 15, 16 packages of 4 3x3 cards that I will have for sale on Pink Sunday.  

I am really having fun with these.  I start by using 12x12 cardstock which will give me  8 cards that I put into 2 bags.  

Colors used are Pool Party, Marigold Morning, Whisper White and Real Red.  

Wild Flowers Without The Sneezing!

I fell in love with a similar card by Amie Kiger on Pinterest & set about recreating with what I had.  It's an interesting design and it challenged me to leave it alone as I was putting it all together.  I'm referring to  how the decorative paper with the words is layered on to the white.  Not sure why though.

Having heard/used this phrase most of my life, I went in search of its origin.  Some fun info I found is listed below.

peachy-keen adj. 1 Excellent; fine. More often than not, used ironically. 

It's worth noting that keen in the sense of "Beautiful; attractive; swell" was especially popular with teenagers and younger folk, at least in the 1950s and 1960s. Thus, Max Shulman resorts to the term frequently in his novel Dobie Gillis (1951).

In the mid-1960s, targeting a youthful audience, Nestlé marketed a powdered drink mix that fell somewhere between Kool-Aid and Tang, which it called Keen.

Easter Wishes

A few days ago I decided to make Easter cards for sale.  I knew I wanted to keep the cost down so I needed to keep them simple - a real challenge!  I also wanted pretty.  This is my fifth set, I hope to share those for you soon.  I love sketches as they allow me more creativity and enjoyment.  This is CCMC297.
