Asian

This is the 2nd card Joyce & I did. I really like the black embossing on these Asian cards, I also think that stamping in Versamark adds a real touch of elegance to them. Hope you like them, too. Thanks so much for stopping by.

I have lots of swaps to show you as we had our monthly stamp meeting last night. I had so much fun. So come back soon.

Inkadinkado - Asian by Design

I wanted to show you this stamp set we have been playing with. I just think it so pretty. Joyce is such a special person, she went & purchased one for me!

The Journey is the Reward

As I mentioned before, my friend Joyce loves Asian stamps and we have been having a lot of fun playing with them. I'm not use to making cards without paper, but I think this turned out nicely!

Enjoy. Thanks for stopping by.

Daily Reflection

I have not been following thru on my daily reflections, today was especially notable so here goes.
Pastor had taken the day off, so one of Deacons gave the message. Though disappointed, I wanted to get something out of it, so I said a prayer asking for patience & to hear whatever the message was. I am happy to say that God answered my prayer. It was a good service.

The message: Love is forgiving. Forgiving is love. When someone, especially those close to me, says something that really hurts, that hurt can last a very long time and forgiveness seems impossible. I am more aware now than ever before of "be careful what you say, as you can't take it back." And, when we are tired, frustrated, stressed, or are hurting it is much easier to say things that we should wait till a better time & say the words with love instead of with all the other feelings.

I pray that we all can learn this.

Blessings,
Deloris

Good Friends

Yesterday, I received some bad news. Today, my friend Joyce called several times but I had left my cell phone in the car so didn't hear it. On the way to church, I found her message & called her back. She, & her Mom, invited me out to dinner & stamp afterwards. Normally, I would have declined, stayed home & entered back into my depression, but I said yes. I'm glad I did. We went to Red Robin, one of my favorite places to eat. Service wasn't so good, waiter having a bad night too, I guess. Joyce loves Asian artwork and has some beautiful stamps, so I really enjoyed playing with them tonight. I will show you those in the next couple of days.

The excitement of the night came as I was getting ready to go home. We were headed outdoors, Joyce was a couple of steps ahead of me. She had only taken a couple of steps when she uttered something & began to lose her balance at the same time. It was then that I noticed a snake about 3-1/2' long in her pathway! I thought I liked snakes, but I hid out in the house while her & Sue looked around for him. Finally, I decided I should be helping & stepped outdoors with them. Unfortunately, we didn't find him.

I just got a call from Joyce to tell me that Sue had taken one of the puppies out to potty & there he was - sprawled out on the concrete! She yelled at Joyce, "he's back!" Joyce hurried outside, but he had slithered away. He thought he was hid, but yes, you guessed it, he was located & then relocated!!! And they lived happily ever after. The end.

I love my life! Thanks for tonight's entertainment guys!!

Big Winner

I made this for my sister for her birthday. She is the only one of my siblings that likes to gamble, so I thought it appropriate.

Puppy Love

I have been a bad girl this week, no postings since Monday. So sorry, I have been super busy. I invited my friend Joyce & her family over for a supper of italian meatloaf, garlic bread & green beans. Joyce & I decided to make a card on the spur of the moment while the others watched Dateline.

Since I didn't have anything planned, we started by going thru my stamps, since Joyce liked this one, we headed over to splitcoaststampers to look for a card to case. We found a beautiful card by mlj-mlj on splitcoast & here's our version!
