Happy Birthday Judy

Today's card is for my Aunt Judy.  I love the color combo!  Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green and Very Vanilla.

This past summer I decided to use the Create a Cupcake stamp set and coordinating punch to simplify and reduce the time in making cards for my family for the upcoming year.

I'm now about 6 months down the road and thinking that it was a wonderful idea.  I accomplished what I wanted to do.

Now if I could get them in the mail so they arrive on or before the birthday that would be wonderful.

What do I do for the next year?  Hmmm.

A Peach of a Cupcake

Do you wonder at our ability to change, seemingly seamless, as things around us change?  It's like a fleeting thought we have to make that decision to go with the flow.  For example, new clothing styles or redecorating because you saw something at your friend's you liked.  The decision seems so easy.  Then we have those changes that we just won't budge on or products that we have used for decades & now are no longer available to us & we complain like crazy.  At that point we become "one of those who don't like change."   Hmmm.    Just some food for thought as this week ends and start a new one.

God's rich blessings to each of you.

Happy birthday Denise.

Pretty Cupcake

I ran across a similar card by Kasia Jackson this morning & it reminded  me that I have been wanting to create banners using different punches.  I started with  the new Artisan Label but was too big, then I went with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle.  I like how it turned out.

Happy Belated Birthday Cyndi.

5 Down & 4 To Go

For my Aunt Clo I wanted to stay away from frilly, i wanted striking but not too pretty.

For my cousin Juanita I went for pretty but simple to save some time. Too much to do today.

My cousin Sherry is an artist so I wanted her card to be a little edgy.

June Brings An Abundance Of Birthdays

There are 9 birthdays for June & early July!  Since I started late this year, I decided to go with a theme - 1 stamp set and  a coordinating punch.  A time saver tip.

First up us Aneya's who turned 4.  She's the newest sports star in the family.  She is rough & tough but still a girl so I chose bold colors with a bit of soft pink in the ruffle.

The next one is for my good friend Bonnie.  I probably should keep her age under wraps!  For this card I chose a clean, crisp white that will help you keep cool in a hot June.  I paired this up with two more cool colors Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz.

(Note to self - apparently I sent Bonnie a different card as I still have this one)
